Zamak is a family of zinc alloys with aluminium, magnesium and copper, used for precise, low-cost die castings. ### Is zinc alloy as strong as brass? Zinc alloy is softer and weaker than brass, but it is cheaper and casts finer detail. It suits handles, knobs and decorative parts rather than pressure parts. ### Where is zinc die casting done in India? Aligarh is the best-known cluster for zinc die-cast locks and hardware.
