Programme terms

Short terms, in writing.

These summary terms apply to every introduction and white-label engagement. Each partnership is tailored: the written partner agreement sets out the full terms and prevails if the two differ.

  1. 01
    Eligibility

The programme is open to consultants, product coaches, sourcing-trip hosts, freight forwarders, sourcing agencies and other advisers acting in the course of their business. Participation is free of charge.

  2. 02
    Routes and tailored terms

A Partner may participate as an Introducer, as an extension of the Partner’s own team (white label), or both. The percentages and prices stated on this page are typical only. The share, partner price, scope and any volume thresholds applicable to a Partner are those set out in its written partner agreement.

  3. 03
    Qualifying introduction

An introduction qualifies when the Partner registers it through this page or by email to anirudh@sourcesquid.co, the client has consented to the introduction, and the client is not, at the date of registration, an existing client of SourceSquid or in active discussion with it. Where more than one partner introduces the same client, the earliest registration prevails.

  4. 04
    Introducer share

For each qualifying introduction, SourceSquid shall pay the Partner the agreed percentage of the Service Fees received from that client, typically 15% and up to 20% for high-volume partners. The entitlement continues for the life of the client relationship, for as long as the client engages SourceSquid, subject to the clause on end of eligibility.

  5. 05
    Service Fees

Service Fees means SourceSquid’s professional fees actually received from the client, net of taxes and duties. They exclude pass-through costs charged at cost, including travel, accommodation, laboratory and testing fees, freight, courier and samples, and any amount refunded, credited or not collected.

  6. 06
    Payment

The introducer share is payable only after SourceSquid has received the client’s payment. On the 15th day of each month, or the next working day, SourceSquid shall pay the share due on Service Fees received in the preceding calendar month, by bank transfer, with a statement showing the calculation.

  7. 07
Extension of your team (white label)

Where SourceSquid works as an extension of the Partner’s team, the client remains the Partner’s client: the Partner contracts with and invoices the client and sets its own prices and margin. SourceSquid supplies its services to the Partner at the agreed partner price, typically about 20% below its published prices, delivers reports and documents in the Partner’s branding, co-branded or unbranded, as instructed, and invoices the Partner monthly.

  8. 08
    End of eligibility

The Partner’s entitlement in respect of a client ends when (a) the client ceases to engage SourceSquid; (b) the Partner materially breaches these terms or its partner agreement and does not remedy the breach within a reasonable period after written notice; or (c) the parties so agree in writing. Either party may end the Partner’s participation by written notice; save under (b), shares on clients introduced before the notice date continue to be paid in accordance with these terms.

  9. 09
    Independence and disclosure

SourceSquid accepts no commission from factories or suppliers. An Introducer shall disclose to its client that it receives a share of SourceSquid’s fees. Neither party may act, sign or make representations on the other’s behalf.

  10. 10
    Confidentiality

Each party shall keep confidential all non-public information received from the other or from a client, including prices, drawings, supplier identities and commercial terms; use it only for the purposes of the programme; and disclose it only to personnel and advisers who need it and are bound by equivalent obligations. SourceSquid shares progress on an introduced client with the Partner only with the client’s agreement. These obligations survive the end of participation.

  11. 11
    No exclusivity

Participation is non-exclusive. Neither party is restricted from working with other partners, clients or service providers unless exclusivity is expressly agreed in writing.

  12. 12
    Personal data

The Partner confirms it may lawfully share the client contact details it submits. SourceSquid uses them only to contact the client about the introduction, as set out in its Privacy notice.

Partner questions

Straight answers.

Anything else, ask us directly. A principal replies, not a bot.

anirudh@sourcesquid.co

Does it cost anything to become a partner?

No. Joining is free, and there is no minimum number of referrals. You introduce clients when SourceSquid is the right fit for them.

What are the two ways to partner?

As an Introducer, you introduce a client and we deliver the work; you receive a share of our fees for as long as that client works with us. As an extension of your team (white label), the client remains yours and we work as part of your own team; you buy at a partner price and set your own margin. You can use either route, or both, and every partnership is tailored to how you work.

How much is the introducer share?

Typically 15% of the service fees SourceSquid receives from each client you introduce, and up to 20% for high-volume partners, for as long as that client works with us. Pass-through costs such as travel, laboratory fees and freight are excluded. Your exact share is set out in your partner agreement.

When is the introducer share paid?

Monthly, on the 15th, for fees SourceSquid received in the previous month. A share is payable only after your client has paid us, and every payment comes with a short statement showing how it was calculated.

How does working as an extension of my team work?

The client remains yours and contracts with you. We work as part of your team, with reports and documents in your branding, co-branded or unbranded, as you prefer. You buy at a partner price, typically about 20% below our published prices, set your own margin, and we invoice you monthly.

What are priority slots?

Teardowns, factory visits and inspection bookings for clients you refer go to the front of our scheduling queue, so your clients are served first in busy periods such as the weeks before Diwali and Chinese New Year.

What is a co-branded teardown?

The free 48-hour teardown carries your brand alongside ours: how the part is made, where it should be made and a realistic target price. You present it to your client as part of your own service.

Does my client relationship stay mine?

Yes. As an extension of your team, the client contracts with you and we work behind you. As an Introducer, we work within the scope you introduce us for and keep you informed at each milestone, with your client’s agreement.

Is the programme exclusive?

No. You are free to work with other providers, and so are we, unless exclusivity is agreed in writing.

Do you take commission from factories?

No. Clients pay SourceSquid directly, so every factory recommendation is made for your client alone. That independence is what makes a referral easy to stand behind.
