What to ask for in the RFQ and check when goods arrive.
- Ask for the tannery's LWG rating and for chrome VI and azo dye test reports.
- Approve leather swatches for grain, colour and thickness (e.g. 1.2–1.4 mm).
- Check leather is conditioned and packed with moisture control to prevent mould in transit.
