What is the difference between handloom and powerloom?
Handloom fabric is woven on manually operated looms and shows small irregularities that buyers value. Powerloom fabric is machine-woven, more uniform and cheaper at volume.
How do I verify genuine handloom?
Look for the Handloom Mark or the India Handloom Brand. For GI-registered textiles, buy from registered producers in the named region.
