What to ask for in the RFQ and check when goods arrive.
- Verify the grade by PMI (XRF) on arrival, especially to tell 304 from lower-nickel 200-series grades.
- Specify passivation and surface finish (2B, No. 4, mirror) for visible or food-contact parts.
- For food-contact items, ask for migration tests to EU or US FDA rules.

What is CF8M?
CF8M is the cast equivalent of 316 stainless steel, widely used for valve and pump castings.
Where is stainless kitchenware made in India?
Yamunanagar–Jagadhri in Haryana and Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh are well-known centres, alongside large makers around Delhi and Mumbai.
